Stories That Defy the Ordinary

By age 7, Dan knew he wanted to be a meteorologist — inspired by a deadly tornado that struck his hometown the year he was born. After earning a degree from Northern Illinois University, he spent thirty-two years as a National Weather Service meteorologist, stationed across the Midwest, Texas, the desert Southwest, and the deep South.

On the fateful night of March 13th, 1997, Dan was at the Phoenix NWS office and witnessed the now-famous Phoenix Lights incident firsthand — a V-shaped craft moving silently over Arizona, and a series of glowing orbs over the Sierra Estrella mountains. That night never left him, and it ultimately drove him to fiction.

He retired in 2025 and now dedicates his time to techno-thrillers, science fiction, and horror. He lives in Arkansas with his wife, two dogs, and a cat that thinks she owns the place.
